Timothei sits on a rock at the foot of Mount Fuji, practising with two drumsticks on a small pad resting on his thigh. He wears a white shirt, a straw hat and sunglasses. Dark rocks, green trees and the mountain stretch behind him beneath a blue sky. At the end, he lowers his sticks and smiles to one side.
I started playing drums at four. Jazz is at the heart of my playing; curiosity keeps me moving. I bring preparation, commitment and an open ear to every rehearsal and performance.
At Gresham’s School, I founded and led the Jazz Trio, working on arrangements, recordings and live performances. I continue to develop my playing through lessons with musicians whose work inspires me.
